This hotel is one of the best in the area........without doubt. Why ? Lovely pool just outside in the lawned gardens(with proper grass) and with clean not over chlorinated water. The rooms are a good size with in our case a verandha where we could sit and enjoy outside space next to our bedroom. The staff at this hotel......are without exception the friendliest, most helpful you will find. The gardens around the hotel are a pleasure to sit in and enjoy and contrary to what the Booking .com website says there is very good wifi access....even from our BEDROOM.(ask the staff for the security key for access)There. We stayed here for 4 nights and had a lovely time....having stayed in other hotels in this area this is the best one in our opinion.
There is only one gripe (and we hope the management take this on board for their own benefit,as well as the guests) there seems to be only one option for eating and that seems to be a 3 course meal in the restaurant for 20 euros each......not everyone (including ourselves) would want to pay or even eat a 3 course meal in 30 degree temperatures for the best part of £50 for a couple (including wine) It would be alot more sensible to offer 10 euro individual meals in the cafeteria onsite (which apparently only provides drinks, not food) and we're sure alot more guests would partake of this facility, and provide extra income for the hotel) nonetheless still a nice place to stay.RECOMMENDED.

I liked the location. Excellent spot for visiting the local villages and castles which are magnificent. In summer the outdoor pool and garden is beautiful and quiet.
Be careful of room selection. The rooms with bathroom ensuite overlook the local country road which is quiet. However we requested room change to be away from the road. This was a very good decision. There is some traffic noise owing to early deliveries. The rooms otherside of hotel where all with shower and no bath.

Middle of July and the outdoor pool was extremely cold, but do try the indoor pool. It's located near the spa, and it is fantastic - very relaxing.
We had to ask about using the indoor pool. Information at the counter is misleading, making you think you have to pay extra for its use.

different location, quite interesting decoration. -1 level spa wasn't the best in the world but was adequate. Good breakfast!

The hotel is far from the historic center town but you can take a bus and the hotel was a very good value for money.

The location. The genral comfort of the room. The hotel was very quiet. The lounge was big, but we did not use it.
The hotel lacked cleanlyness. The floor in the room was not clean. The plate at the dinner table was durty, and the waitress said, when I made her notice it, that it did not really matter, because I did not really have to eat from it as it was only to put the real plate on (in stead of apologizing; she gave a new one, nonetheless). The chairs on the terrace were soiled by doves (and not recently) . The swimming pool was not opend yet (it would do so only 1st of july in spite of temperatures above 30°C for three days. We were not offered using the indoor pool instaed (except on payment of a fee of 15 €)
